Let's say it's a busy day and I'm running behind. I have to choose one item of makeup to apply to enhance my appearance. I would pick mascara 50% of the time. The other 50% I would pick lipstick. With mascara, I know that I can increase the definition, length, and volume of my eyelashes which draws attention to my eyes. Lipstick on the other hand, adds dimension and fullness to my lips. The lipstick therefore is an addition to my smile. I have several different shades of lipstick. Baby pink, Fire engine red, coral, purple, nudes, peach, caramel, mocha, etc. I love lip stains as well. The color lasts for hours without having to reapply another coat as often. Lip liners are also a favorite of mine. You can use the same color as the lipstick of your choice or wear a different shade. Mixing the colors creates an ombre. I like to use a darker shade on the outline and a light shade toward the insides of my lips. When applying lip liner, an easy trick is to draw a bow (like a bowtie) along the top lip in the center and to draw a crescent along the bottom lip in the center of the lip line.
